Lucid keeps the basics the same across its range: an end-of-day trailing drawdown ($2,000 on a 50K), a $1,200 daily loss limit (optional on Flex and Daily), a 90/10 split and no activation fee on any plan. What changes is when the consistency rule applies.
Who it suits: traders who want to pick the rule that fits them. Flex or Daily if you want a clean funded account; Pro if you'd rather pass fast and manage consistency later.

50K plans. Dollar limits change with the account size; each plan's page has its own numbers.
What these rules mean:
Lucid payout timing depends on the account type you choose. LucidLive offers daily payouts starting from Day 1 with no trading day or performance requirements once ID verification is complete. LucidPro, LucidFlex, and LucidDirect require traders to first meet their specific account requirements, typically involving a minimum of five to eight trading days, before payouts are unlocked. With the daily loss limit (DLL) on, you can request a payout as soon as your dashboard shows you've met the payout requirements, with no waiting for a payout window or end of day; funds usually arrive within two business days. For U.S. traders using Plaid, payouts can be completed in as little as three minutes from request to deposit.
The time it takes to get funded with Lucid depends on the account type you choose. LucidDirect offers instant funding, allowing traders to skip the evaluation entirely and move straight into a funded account upon purchase. LucidPro can be passed in a single trading day, with the funded upgrade occurring in real time, typically within 5 to 30 minutes after targets are met. LucidFlex requires a minimum of two trading days, with a built in consistency cushion, and upgrades to funded status within 5 to 30 minutes once the profit target is reached. Across all account types, upgrades happen immediately after targets are hit, with objectives updating shortly after your final closed trade.
Turn the daily loss limit (DLL) on and Lucid pays on demand: request a payout as soon as your dashboard shows you've met the payout requirements, with no waiting for a payout window or end of day. This works on LucidFlex, LucidPro, LucidDaily and LucidDirect. On LucidDaily with DLL on, you can take multiple payouts in the same session. Accounts with DLL off don't get on-demand payouts. Funds usually arrive within two business days.
Lucid allows traders to hold up to five funded accounts total across all account types, with the limit applied per household. This means all funded accounts combined, including LucidDirect, LucidPro and LucidFlex, count toward the same five account maximum. For example, if a trader holds three LucidDirect accounts, only two additional funded accounts may be opened from any other Lucid account type. This structure keeps account management straightforward while still allowing traders to scale across multiple strategies within a clear and consistent limit.
No, Lucid does not place restrictions on news trading. Traders are free to enter and exit positions during both scheduled and unscheduled news events without limitation. That said, news markets can be extremely volatile and may involve slippage or rapid price movements. When trading during news events, all risk and outcomes are fully the trader’s responsibility.
Traders can qualify for a LucidLive account in two ways. The standard path is automatic qualification after completing your sixth payout on a LucidDirect account. In some cases, traders may qualify earlier if Lucid’s risk team determines they are ready to trade live capital before reaching the sixth payout. Once transitioned to LucidLive, the first $30,000 of eligible simulated profits is deposited directly into your live account, while any remaining profits are held in escrow. From there, traders unlock additional capital through Lucid’s Make 5, Take 5 system, where every $5,000 in live profits earns a total of $7,500, allowing capital to scale alongside consistent performance.
All Lucid accounts use an End of Day drawdown system except LucidLive. With EOD drawdown, the system tracks your highest closing balance at the end of each trading day, and your maximum loss limit rises as your balance increases until it reaches the trail point, where it then locks in place. LucidPro accounts have a maximum loss limit ranging from $1,000 to $4,500 depending on account size and lock once the balance reaches the initial account balance plus $100. LucidDirect accounts follow the same locking structure with maximum loss limits ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 depending on size. LucidFlex accounts also use EOD drawdown with limits between $1,000 and $4,500, but the maximum loss limit automatically adjusts to the locked balance after the first payout. LucidLive does not use EOD drawdown and instead operates with a simple 20 percent daily loss limit for risk control.
Lucid supports a wide range of professional trading platforms across multiple data feeds. Traders can use NinjaTrader, Tradovate, and TradingView through CQG. Platforms supported through Rithmic include MotiveWave and Quantower, which are Lucid partners, along with Sierra Chart, Jigsaw, Bookmap, ATAS, R|Trader Pro, MultiCharts, and Project X. Traders on Mac can trade using MotiveWave through Rithmic, making Lucid accessible across different operating systems and trading setups.
Yes, Lucid allows the use of trading bots, automated strategies, and trade copiers across its accounts as long as all trading rules are followed. Traders are fully responsible for their software, including any errors or unintended behavior that may occur. High-frequency trading is not permitted. Strategies that place large volumes of trades in seconds or milliseconds to exploit price inefficiencies fall under HFT. If this activity is detected, Lucid will issue a warning first. Continued violations can result in profit removal and eventual account closure.
