Trade strategy for NQ, ES, SPY, QQQ, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, NVDA, GOOGL, META, and TSLA
By PropFirms.gg Team13 min read
Good Morning Traders! In today's Morning Memo, we will discuss NQ, ES, SPY, QQQ, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, NVDA, GOOGL, META, and TSLA.
Our proprietary formula, exclusive to RIPS, dictates these price levels. This dynamic equation takes into account price, volume, and options flow. These levels are updated every day and shared with our community, prior to the opening of the market.
We recommend closely monitoring these stocks, and be prepared to leverage potential breakouts or reversals. As always, stay alert and ready to adjust your tactics based on the market's pulse to optimize your trading gains. Now, let's dive into the stock analysis:
NQE-mini Nasdaq-100 Futures
NQ is currently trading around 27132.00, bouncing after Thursday's heavy selloff. The prior session ran from a high of 28668.50 down to a low of 26570.00, so price sits in the lower part of that range with plenty of room both ways. Dealers are short gamma across the whole band right now, with no flip level anywhere close, so expect wide swings that can keep running rather than fade. The level Rips is watching on air is the healthy bids zone between 26930.25 and 26949.75. Rips trades NQ live at 8AM ET, so tune in to see how he plays the open.
ESE-mini S&P 500 Futures
ES is currently trading around 7400.00, holding just above Thursday's low of 7346.00 after a session that topped out at 7738.75. The gamma flip converts to roughly 7733.75, well above current price, which puts ES in the regime where daily ranges have tended to be wider and moves can travel further than usual. On a jobs report morning that matters. The area Rips is watching on air is the healthy bids zone between 7383.00 and 7388.00, sitting just under current price. SPYSPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust
SPY is currently trading around 735.25, a small lift from Thursday's close at 733.00 after one of the roughest sessions in weeks. That close came almost right on the day's low of 732.71, so sellers stayed in control into the bell. If buyers can defend the 733.00 area after the jobs number, a relief move has room to work, but the next real chart reference overhead is the 751.60 low from Monday, a long way up. Any push toward it would need steady participation through the morning, not just a quick pop on the data.
If price breaks below 732.71 and cannot recover, SPY would be trading under Thursday's low with no nearby reference from the last several sessions to lean on, and that can let selling extend quickly. A return above 733.00 after any early dip would weaken that downside picture. Thursday's volume was more than double a normal day, which tells you how much stock changed hands on the way down. Watch whether that heavy activity calms down today or picks up again.
QQQInvesco QQQ Trust Series 1
QQQ is currently trading around 657.50, rebounding about ten dollars from Thursday's close at 647.05, which was also the exact low of the day. Tech took the brunt of the selling, and the early bounce is being led by chip names. If buyers defend the gap and keep QQQ above 647.05, the recovery case stays alive. The nearest meaningful chart reference overhead is Monday's low at 680.33, followed by Thursday's high at 683.65, both still far away after a drop of this size.
If the morning bounce fades and QQQ slips back through 647.05 without recovering, the gap would be fully erased and price would be pressing into territory it has not traded in recently. That is where follow through selling could pick up speed. Reclaiming 657.50 after a dip would be a sign buyers are still interested. Thursday's volume was more than twice the recent average, so the size of today's turnover is worth watching to see whether this bounce has real participation behind it.
AAPLApple Inc.
AAPL is currently trading around 340.00, a little below Thursday's close of 344.17 and under that session's low of 342.06. Apple actually held up better than most of big tech during Thursday's rout, but it is softer than the group in early trading. If buyers can reclaim 342.06 and hold it, the next reference is the 344.17 close, and getting back above that would put Apple right back in Thursday's range. That would be a healthy sign while chip stocks lead the bounce elsewhere.
If price stays below 342.06 and slides further, the first downside reference is 335.82, Monday's low. Below that sits 334.35, the low from October 30, which is the next spot where buyers stepped in recently. A move back above 344.17 would weaken the downside case. Apple does not have a company specific catalyst today, so expect it to trade mostly with the broader market reaction to the jobs report and the swings in yields that come with it.
MSFTMicrosoft Corp.
MSFT is currently trading around 530.75, sitting just under Thursday's low of 532.68 and below the 535.93 close. Microsoft is one of the weaker megacaps in early trading. If buyers can push back above 532.68 and hold it, the next reference is the 535.93 close, and above that is 542.30, Wednesday's low, which marks where the stock was trading before Thursday's drop. Reclaiming that zone would show the selling pressure easing.
If price cannot get back above 532.68 and keeps leaking lower, the next downside reference is 523.44, Tuesday's high, the level the stock jumped over on Wednesday. Losing that would open a deeper retrace of the week's gains. A return above 535.93 would weaken the downside picture. Thursday's volume was close to normal for Microsoft, which suggests it was caught up in the broad tech selling rather than reacting to its own news. That can work both ways today, since a market recovery could lift it just as easily.
AMZNAmazon.com Inc.
AMZN is currently trading around 262.00, a touch above Thursday's close of 260.21. Amazon is one of the few big names holding a premarket gain outside of the chip trade. If buyers defend the 260.21 close, the first upside reference is 263.85, Wednesday's low, and then 266.03, Wednesday's close. Getting back above 266.03 would erase most of Thursday's damage and put the stock back near where it was trading before the selloff started.
If price slips back under 260.21 and cannot recover, the downside reference is Thursday's low at 252.27, a level that buyers defended once already. Breaking that would undo the strong move the stock made on Wednesday. A return above 263.85 would weaken the downside case. Amazon has held up better than most of its peers through this rough stretch, and keeping that relative strength today would be a positive sign for the broader Nasdaq bounce.
NVDANVIDIA Corporation
NVDA is currently trading around 189.25, bouncing about four percent after Thursday's drop of more than nine percent, its worst day in nearly two years. The stock closed at 181.60, basically on its low of 181.46, so the early recovery is coming off a washed out finish. If buyers keep price above that close, the next upside reference is 196.25, Thursday's high, and beyond that sits 199.68, Wednesday's low, which is the area the stock fell away from.
If the bounce fails and price sinks back toward 181.60 and then below 181.46, NVDA would be trading under Thursday's low with little recent history to slow it down. A return above 189.25 after any early dip would keep the rebound case intact. Thursday's volume was more than double the recent average. Nvidia is leading the premarket bounce in the chip space, and with its weight in the Nasdaq, how it holds up after the open could set the tone for NQ.
GOOGLAlphabet Inc Class A
GOOGL is currently trading around 282.25, right on top of Thursday's close at 282.57. Alphabet is flat in early trading after a session where it gave back much of its Wednesday gain. If buyers can push it back above 282.57 and hold, the next reference is 283.40, Wednesday's low, followed by 288.93, Wednesday's close. Getting back to that close would signal buyers are back in control of the stock.
If price fails to hold and slides lower, Thursday's low of 277.07 is the first downside reference, with 276.92 from October 30 right beneath it. That pair forms a meaningful floor from the past week. Breaking below both would open more room to the downside. A move back above 283.40 would weaken that downside case. Alphabet does not have fresh company news this morning, so expect it to move with the broader tech tape and the jobs report reaction.
METAMeta Platforms Inc
META is currently trading around 603.50, slightly below Thursday's close of 605.08. If buyers can lift price back above 605.08 and hold it, the next references are 606.41, Monday's low, and then 610.10, Tuesday's low. Clearing that area would show buyers stepping back in after Thursday's sharp intraday drop, and it would line up with a broader recovery in tech.
If price stays below 605.08 and starts to slide, Thursday's low at 583.80 is the main downside reference. That was a deep intraday flush that buyers recovered from, closing more than twenty dollars above it, so a revisit there would be a real test. A return above 606.41 would weaken the downside scenario. Meta has lighter premarket activity than other names in the group today, so the regular session reaction will matter more than the early tape here.
TSLATesla Inc.
TSLA is currently trading around 348.00, bouncing modestly after Thursday's drop of nearly eleven percent. The stock closed at 343.69, not far above its low of 338.15. If buyers defend that close, there is room for a relief move, but the next real chart reference overhead is 374.30, Thursday's high, followed closely by 375.50, Wednesday's low. That is a long climb, so any recovery could be choppy along the way.
If price slips back under 343.69 and then below 338.15 without recovering, Tesla would be trading below anything it has touched in the past week, and sellers could press their advantage. A return above 348.00 after a dip would weaken that downside case. Thursday's volume was more than double the recent average, a sign of how heavy the selling was. Reports this morning say Tesla is shifting Cybertruck focus toward robotaxis, which could keep the stock in the headlines today.
Final word
Today is jobs day. The October Jobs Report at 8:30AM ET is the headline event, with forecasts calling for about 65,000 jobs added, after 29,000 the prior month, and the unemployment rate expected to hold at 4.2 percent. Average hourly earnings are also expected to rise 0.3 percent for the month. This report shows how fast the economy is hiring and how quickly wages are rising, so a surprise in either direction can move interest rates and stocks quickly.
At 10:00AM ET, the University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment preliminary reading for November is due, with forecasts near 48 after 46.3 last month. Overnight, Nasdaq futures recovered after an AI driven rout spread through Asian markets, and the Mag 7 are mixed in early trading. Nvidia, Tesla and Amazon are higher, while Apple and Microsoft are lagging, so watch whether the chip led bounce can pull the heavier names along with it.
After a day with more than double the normal volume, watch participation today. A recovery that holds Thursday's closing levels on a pullback is a better sign than a quick spike on the jobs number that fades. Good luck, trade safely, and have a great Friday and a relaxing weekend!
