Good Morning Traders! In today's RIPS Morning Memo, we will discuss SPY, QQQ, AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, GOOGL, META, and TSLA.
Our proprietary formula, exclusive to Market Clubhouse, dictates these price levels. This dynamic equation takes into account price, volume, and options flow. These levels are updated every day and shared with all Clubhouse Members, prior to the opening of the market.
We recommend closely monitoring these stocks, and be prepared to leverage potential breakouts or reversals. As always, stay alert and ready to adjust your tactics based on the market's pulse to optimize your trading gains. Now, let's dive into the stock analysis:
SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA: SPY)
SPY is currently trading around 688.50 as the market enters a pivotal week with major macro catalysts ahead. Buyers are attempting to stabilize price above this zone, which has acted as an important balance area. If SPY can continue to hold firm here, a push toward the 690.25 region may develop as dip buyers gain confidence. Sustained strength above that area could allow price to probe into the 692.00 zone, where sellers are likely to be more active ahead of the FOMC decision.
If SPY loses 688.50, downside pressure could increase quickly as traders reduce risk ahead of midweek events. A move into 686.75 would be the first area to watch for responsive buyers. Failure there opens the door toward 684.75, which would suggest risk sentiment is deteriorating. Continued weakness into that zone would reflect positioning adjustments rather than outright panic, but momentum could accelerate if sellers remain in control.
Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ: QQQ)
QQQ is currently trading around 621.50, sitting near a key inflection zone for growth stocks. Buyers are attempting to defend this level as large cap tech remains sensitive to interest rate expectations. Holding above 621.50 could allow price to work higher toward 623.75, where prior supply has shown up. A clean reclaim of that area may open a path toward 626.00 if risk appetite improves.
If QQQ slips below 621.50, sellers may test downside liquidity into 619.50. A breakdown through that level would suggest traders are de risking ahead of FOMC and could lead to a rotation toward 617.25. Sustained pressure below there would indicate broader weakness across tech, particularly if yields move higher.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL)
Apple is currently trading around 250.50 as buyers attempt to hold a critical support zone. This level has been an area where dip buyers have consistently shown interest. If Apple can remain above 250.50, price may grind higher toward 252.25, with further upside potential into 254.00 if the tape stabilizes.
If Apple loses 250.50, sellers may press price into 248.75 fairly quickly. A failure there could open a move toward 246.50, which would reflect defensive positioning in mega cap names. Continued downside would likely be more technical in nature rather than company specific.
Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT)
Microsoft is currently trading around 467.00, attempting to build acceptance after recent volatility. Buyers will want to see price hold above this level to support a move into 469.50. If momentum builds, MSFT could work into the 472.00 area, particularly if broader tech stabilizes.
If MSFT cannot hold 467.00, downside pressure may push price into 464.75. A breakdown below that level would signal fading confidence and could lead to a test of 461.50. Weakness here would likely be tied to macro factors rather than fundamentals.
NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA)
NVIDIA is currently trading around 186.25 as traders remain cautious ahead of major macro events. Buyers are attempting to defend this level as a short term pivot. If support holds, a move toward 188.75 may develop, with potential extension into 191.00 if sentiment improves.
If NVDA breaks below 186.25, sellers could push price into 183.75. Failure to hold there would expose the 181.50 region, signaling reduced risk appetite across semiconductors. Downside movement would likely be sharp but headline driven.
Alphabet Inc Class A (NASDAQ: GOOGL)
Alphabet is currently trading around 326.50, holding within a broader consolidation range. Buyers are watching this area closely as a base for potential continuation. Strength above this level could allow a move into 329.25, with further upside toward 332.00 if the market firms up.
If GOOGL slips below 326.50, sellers may test downside liquidity into 323.75. A sustained move lower would suggest caution ahead of FOMC and could bring 321.00 into play. Price action here remains sensitive to overall tech flows.
Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ: META)
Meta is currently trading around 662.25, showing relative strength compared to other large cap names. Buyers are attempting to maintain control above this level, which could lead to a push toward 666.00. Continued strength may allow price to stretch into 669.50 if risk appetite remains intact.
If META loses 662.25, sellers may pressure price into 658.75. A break below there would suggest rotation out of higher beta names and could lead to a test of 655.50. Any downside should be monitored for buyer response rather than immediate continuation.
Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA)
Tesla is currently trading around 445.75 as volatility remains elevated. Buyers are attempting to stabilize price above this zone after recent swings. Holding here could allow a move toward 449.50, with further upside into 453.00 if momentum improves.
If TSLA falls below 445.75, selling pressure may push price into 441.50. Continued weakness would open the door toward 437.75, reflecting traders stepping back ahead of macro uncertainty. Tesla remains one of the more reactive names to broader risk shifts.
Final Word: Today kicks off a very important week for markets, with the FOMC rate decision and Jerome Powell press conference scheduled for Wednesday. Heading into that event, traders will be closely watching incoming data for any signals that could influence rate expectations or forward guidance.
At 8:30AM ET, the focus will be on November Preliminary Durable Goods Orders along with Capital Goods Orders and Shipments excluding aircraft, which are key measures of business investment. These reports can shape expectations around economic momentum heading into the Fed meeting. At 10:30AM ET, the January Dallas Fed Manufacturing Activity will offer insight into regional manufacturing conditions.
Treasury activity will also be in focus, with a 3 and 6 Month Bill Auction at 11:30AM ET followed by a 2 Year Note Auction at 1PM ET. With positioning already cautious, expect intraday volatility to remain elevated as traders balance data, rates, and upcoming Fed risk. Stay disciplined, manage risk, and trade safely.
